Royal wedding: quirky portraits and sculptures of Prince William and Kate Middleton

The latest work by micro-sculpture artist Willard Wigan showing Prince William and Kate Middleton in the eye of a needle. Birmingham born Wigan, an artist celebrated for his tiny creations, has sculpted a model of the royal couple which fits into the eye of a needle. The sculpture of the royal couple is being exhibited at The Castle Gallery in Birmingham.

Malcolm West from Hersham, Surrey, spent up to ten hours a day over a period of more than five weeks painstakingly sticking each sweet on to his creationA Staffordshire artist has used thousands of postage stamps to create a picture of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Pete Mason used more than 3,000 recycled stamps to depict the couple in front of the Rose Window at Westminster Abbey. Mr Mason is showing the work at The Art Gallery in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.Artist George Vlosich spent 125 hours creating this portrait of Prince William and Kate Middleton on an Etch a Sketch
