Broken rollercoaster traps riders for 5 hours...

The (worst) ride of their lives: Dozens rescued after spending 5 HOURS trapped on broken roller coaster

It's perhaps not quite the excitement these thrill-seekers were hoping for.
A group of visitors to a fairground at a country park spent five hours trapped in mid-air after the roller coaster they were on became stuck.
Nine people, including a young boy, had to be pulled off the Tsunami ride at Strathclyde Country Park near Hamilton in Scotland by the fire service.

The group had been stuck on the ride since 4.30pm with the first passenger only being rescued at around 8.30pm.
M&D's, who run the theme park near Glasgow, describe the ride on their website as 'Scotland's scariest roller coaster'. It does a number of twists and upside down turns and reaches speeds of around 40mph.
It's not the first time the park has had problems with its rides. In 2009, fire crews had to bring down six people on a work excursion after they were stuck 40 feet in the air on the Tornado ride.
Precarious: A young boy is helped down from the stuck roller coaster by a fireman using abseil equipment

Easy does it: A fireman reassures a young girl as she is taken down from a roller coaster after spending five hours in mid-air

Not so fun at the fair: One girl who was taken off the ride at Strathclyde Country Park looked rather glum
